Use a bike for transportation. Recycle. Dont waste electricity.
What are some inexpensive ways to help the environment?
In public restrooms, don't use paper towels or air blowers, shake your hands dry. This saves alot of energy and trees. Turn off lights in your house when your not using them, and unplug devices. Even if they are switched off, they plug is still using power. Always recycle, bike or walk, dont leave trash around, ect.
Reply:Use your own bags when shopping at the store. You won't believe how much garbage you're saving a year just by not using plastic ones and throwing them away.
Always recycle things like paper and cans.
Hang your clothes up for drying instead of using a drying machine.
Reply:About everything you do to help the enviornment is cheaper then hurting it. For instance chlorine- used in many cleaning solutions, is known to cause cancer, how much do you think that will cost in the long run. Use baking soda instead it actually cleans better in most cases. Stop using paper towels, instead get some old bath towels, cut them up and use those. Don't run your washing machine for just a few shirts, fill it up. Stop using the dishwasher, cleaning dishes by hand is faster and doesn't' use nearly as much resources. Basically, if you keep Earth and it's wellbeing (as well as yours) in mind at all times, eventually not hurting it will become like second nature to you.

Reply:Use thrift stores! It's first-use recycling!
Reply:In general, society could make more use of hemp (not smoking it, LOL) instead of cutting down as many trees as we do. Personally, you could use recycled paper.
