I bought me a decent $275.00 bicycle and is a smooth ride. I roughly weigh 216-219 and 6'ft. I really dedicated myself to quit drinking beer, eating healthy, riding my bike, and working out (rigorously). Do you think I will see results in 20 days?
I just bought a mountain/road bicycle because I really want to lose weight, will it help?
Yes. You will most definitely see results in 20 days. Even less. But that is only if you keep at it, and don't overdo yourself.
Reply:depends on what/how much your eating and how much your exercising. If you exercise hard and dont eat/drink crap (pop, beer etc) you will see some type of result in 20 days.
Reply:If you stick to this plan, you will definitely see results in 20 days (probably by losing a few pounds). Stay hydrated so you know you're burning fat, rather than losing water. Make sure to change up your routine so your body doesn't get too used to it, and in 3 weeks you could lose 10-12lbs. -*D*
Reply:If you stick to your program of eating right and exercising regularly (5 or 6 days a week for at least 45 min per day), you'll definitely see some improvement in 20 days. It's not going to be miraculous but you could lose up to 10 lbs. and you'll be firmer and feel great! Good luck!
Reply:yes to both of your questions. I ride my bike to and from work every day and have noticed a change in my butt and legs. you'll probably lose fast in the beginning, then less as you go on. keep it up!
Reply:If you go nuts you will burn out or hurt yourself. No one can go from couch potato to Lance Armstrong in 20 days. Go gradually.
Reply:Congrats on your choice of a bike for conditioning! Running burns more cals but is hell on the joints. Swimming is all around best, but not easily available and pretty boring. Cycling is tops for cardio and mental stimulation, and a great
balance to lifting.
Yep, you'll see and feel results in 20 days. Not dramatic probably, but it'll be there. But, why not think in terms of months and years? I'm talkin' lifestyle change.
You already know about the benefits of exercise. Now, learn all you can about healthy nutrition. It'll serve you well the rest of your life.
Check the link on low carb eating. Be a good complement to the lifting you're doing.
Good luck.

Reply:Silly to forkout on a mountain bike a normal cycle gives you exercise, walking is good for you I dont rate work outs.
I say as you are serious eat what ever you enjoy but very slowly put the knife and fork down between each mouthful
Once you feel full STOP You will then only eat about half you did before get into the habit of eating a little every two n half hours this small one betwen meals maybe a yoghurt or a banana
Reply:To lose weight successfully, you should know the food that you eat can either make you THIN or FAT!!!
Yes,it is really important. You should know the truth:
1.Low Fat Foods DON'T always WORK...
2.Low Calorie Diets DON'T always WORK...
