I'm currently employed to work 40 hours per week from 8:30 to 17:00 monday to friday with half hour lunch unpaid, And Saturday mornings from 8:30 to 12:30 on a rota basis. The position is salaried (no overtime applicable). My gripe is that I do not get paid at all for working Saturdays. I spoke to my boss and he said that if I don't work Saturdays then I should find another job.
Is this Legal?

If its less than national minimum wage, you can complain to an Industrial tribunal as this is a breach of your statutory rights (as you can if your contract doesnt state the hours).
To not pay you is also a breach of your statutory rights, its an 'illegal deduction from wages' and you can also take your boss to a tribunal to get this back.
Best bet is to contact your local CAB or ACAS or an employment solicitor if you have any in your area. To do anything you need to first put in a grievance to your employer and there are specific procedures to follow if you want your case to be successful.

i've tried some of the cat therapy etc. as well as checking him out with a vet. I have had the cat since he was born - always with me and a female cat. The female cat joined us when she was one year old. she is now 10.

It will be in a white bottle with red lettering. We had a cat that peed in a spot in the dining room of our house when we moved and she had never peed in my house before. I used Natures Miracle and she never did it again :)

The cat may be smelling other cats that lived in the house before. If the female is not fixed she may be in heat. Other then that it is hard to keep male cats from spraying. Reply:Its called a diabetic trance. Most drs dont recognize it though.... they just let you eat junk until your even sicker that way they are insured they have a job. Right now you could get control of your life if you are just given a couple of tools.

You will need to contact a qualified leather technician as you will have removed the finish on the leather and possibly pigment with the nail varnish remover which is a solvent. There is nothing you can do yourself which will help to resolve this problem and anything you try will only make the matter worse.
DO NOT use shoe polish or any colouring products to resolve this yourself and cleaning products will not help.

My female beta is constantly floating at the top of the tank and even when swimming down is pulled up. help!!?
I bought 2 female betas about 5 days ago and one has acclimated well and is swimming and happy. The fish in question does nothing but float at the top and even when she tries to swim down it seems as if she's being pulled back up to the surface. Yesterday when I came home she was floating sideways on the top of the tank and I thought that she might be dead. When i tried to check on her she swam away. What could the problem be?

You may be overfeeding her, which is a very common mistake of beta owners. Try feeding her less, %26amp;/or less frequently. They really don't need much food, %26amp; our temptation to feed them more just messes up their digestion %26amp; makes their thank dirtier (as the food they can't eat becomes sludge).

Try lowering the pressure of the water every hour or so by emptying out some of the water from his tank to 'exercise' his swim bladder; then add some more, then release some more; etc, until your fish has started swimming normally again.

I walk him but no matter what he pees inside.

I am not going that route again, for sure!!

There's no vitamin out there that will give you energy.

Umm... free market capitalism doesn't really work like that bro. Sorry to say, but this kind of thing is going to be VERY difficult to find and very competitive as a lot of people don't like working and will snatch these things up. I would recommend working as hard as possible to get out of debt (if necessary... if not, even better) and buy some realestate, get some solid investments going and work your way out of this situation.

Changing Differential rings on my 64 GMC pickup-will it help go faster?
I have a bigger motor in my truck than the original %26amp; its top speed is 55mph. if I change the Differential ring and pinion to a higher teeth count will that help me go faster?

Reply:Wow that is really to slow for even the lowest stock gear of 4.56 to 1.0 Since it will only do 55 I suspect there is something else wrong also. It should be doing about 90-100 topped out right now if it has this lowest gear. All this assumes you have a more modern chevy small or big block engine. There were after market gears down around 7.5 to 1 which would put your top speed about 60. You really need to check the present gear ratio and go from there. I believe there are gear ratios for corporate 12 bolt drop out up to 3.08 to 1 and spicer type (spread case) to 2.73 to 1.

How do I ask for help without feeling disappointed from the help I'm given?
Perhaps my friend the problem is 2 fold, who you ask %26amp; what your is your true intention. Be selective on where %26amp; whom you seek advice. If you ask 50 different people you will get 50 different answers. A person really helps another when they show the other that all the answers that they need are within themselves. No one can fix another, but they can walk with you for a distance adding their strength to yours till you learn to find the strength %26amp; open door for yourself. Most important however is your real intent. Believe it or not, many of us can hide this from ourselves. Do I really seek help to change, or a caring ear to listen? If it is change it seek, then am I really ready %26amp; willing to go the distance, hear the tough answers %26amp; act on them? Being clear as to my intention to my self, it helps to make wiser decisions on who to ask for guidance, help, or just opinions.

What we need is right in front of us if we stop viewing it as broken and empty.
Reply:This seems like a case of the general condition of having expectations about how life should be, and judging what life gives to us based on what we think we want. By releasing our expectations we can learn to lessen mental suffering and actually become more open to opportunities that present themselves to us.
Learning to accept the limitations of loved ones can help open us to wider sources for help, as well.
Don't mean to pontificate.... just my voice this morning.

Despite the fact that the family favors Derek, Jack and Derek still have a strong friendship, at the same time however they envy qualities the other one possesses:Jack is jealous of his brother's money and the fact that he can buy any women he wants with shiny things and the life he can promise,as well as his prominent family position. Derek however feels a deep sense of jealous about Jacks creativity (the creativity that jack posses es when he can write) ,Jack's good looks and the fact that Jack is brave enough to separate from the family and there money. During Jack's writer's block he moves to the more bohemian Montmartre part of paris.One night he and his brother decide to go to the famous theater Théâtre de la Gaîté-Montparnasse where they see the girl that will cause both joy and destruction in their lives:Matilda.Matilda is the beautiful young actress (15,the brothers are Jack:19 and Derek-24). She came from a once grand family that has fallen greatly.She was left on a street at the age of 6 with her little sister (Ava, who dies in the course of this play Ava is 14). Her abusive man about town father abandons the family in hopes of proffiting from a bussiness tip a friend gave him. He never is heard from again (leaving the possibily to bring him back). Please forgive spelling and grammar I just don't want to go over it all and the spell checker isn't working, i hope this helps you out of you writers block!

Reply:Then never do it, I had always thought of it too. I realized that it would be all in vain. It is a very selfish action. I did not care how others would feel. At least there will rise some confusions and it will never encourage others who has the same similar problems. I realized we are not the only ones who feel this weary thing inside of us..But if I do it, maybe some others might do the same thing too. It is not also good for all those people who really care, that we even thought of nobody cares at all.
I am also a weary soul, but I have gained spirit with a little cheery voice in my heart. I believe it is a voice from heaven. My seeking of reality of beauty in life will only slow the proccess if I'd be silly to do such thing. I had prepared for that purpose and I am now of loving and serving those people who really need me specially my children. Only when the values of true religion prevail can a pleasant and tranquil scene replace this gloomy and unfavourable picture, which is doomed to continue so long as God's limits are ignored. Reply:The fact that you don't think anyone would care suggests it's not normal. And if your going through depression anyway, you should really seek help. If nothing else, how about getting in contact with the Samartians? They listen and it's all confidentual and sometimes it just helps to share things?
Suicide is not, and never is, the answer. And I'm so very sure people would care I'll eat my hair if I'm wrong.

Reply:Then never do it, I had always thought of it too. I realized that it would be all in vain. It is a very selfish action. I did not care how others would feel. At least there will rise some confusions and it will never encourage others who has the same similar problems. I realized we are not the only ones who feel this weary thing inside of us..But if I do it, maybe some others might do the same thing too. It is not also good for all those people who really care, that we even thought of nobody cares at all.
I am also a weary soul, but I have gained spirit with a little cheery voice in my heart. I believe it is a voice from heaven. My seeking of reality of beauty in life will only slow the proccess if I'd be silly to do such thing. I had prepared for that purpose and I am now of loving and serving those people who really need me specially my children. Project on Heart Murmurs, can you please help me?
I am doing a research paper on what casues heart murmurs, and the treatments for them. I was wanting to know what exactly can casue them, and can you die from them. Also is a heart murmur and a hole in your heart the same thing?

Oh, not the ECGs and ultrasounds! Their little treadmill stress testing is what kills, then being left hungry and thirsty in a room for an hour waiting for the doctor to come and read the testing scores is what kills.
I am not going that route again, for sure!!
Oh, my blood pressure is now way down 115/45, the lipids panel is normal, the murmur exists!! It doesn't give me problems, just my doctors! I can and do anything and everything I want and eat as I please!

Narrowed orifice occurs when on or more of the valves get narrowed. Abnormal orifice occurs when a valve become leaky or when there is a hole in a wall separating two chambers / vessels. Only the severe forms of these disorders cause death, especially if left untreated. Most of the disorders which cause murmurs are treatable. Milder forms require only medications to modulate the heart function, while the severe forms need operations or other procedures. Heart murmur and hole are not the same. A hole can cause a murmur if it is between two chambers with a significant pressure difference on either sides so that there will be a high velocity jet of blood flowing across the hole.

There are supplements for energy and some for weight loss, but neither work unless you are dedicated and your exercise and nutrition regimen's are working.

Sorry to say, but this kind of thing is going to be VERY difficult to find and very competitive as a lot of people don't like working and will snatch these things up. I would recommend working as hard as possible to get out of debt (if necessary... if not, even better) and buy some realestate, get some solid investments going and work your way out of this situation.

I have a bigger motor in my truck than the original %26amp; its top speed is 55mph. if I change the Differential ring and pinion to a higher teeth count will that help me go faster?

Reply:Wow that is really to slow for even the lowest stock gear of 4.56 to 1.0 Since it will only do 55 I suspect there is something else wrong also. It should be doing about 90-100 topped out right now if it has this lowest gear. All this assumes you have a more modern chevy small or big block engine. There were after market gears down around 7.5 to 1 which would put your top speed about 60. You really need to check the present gear ratio and go from there. I believe there are gear ratios for corporate 12 bolt drop out up to 3.08 to 1 and spicer type (spread case) to 2.73 to 1.

Perhaps my friend the problem is 2 fold, who you ask %26amp; what your is your true intention. Be selective on where %26amp; whom you seek advice. If you ask 50 different people you will get 50 different answers. A person really helps another when they show the other that all the answers that they need are within themselves. No one can fix another, but they can walk with you for a distance adding their strength to yours till you learn to find the strength %26amp; open door for yourself. Most important however is your real intent. Believe it or not, many of us can hide this from ourselves. Do I really seek help to change, or a caring ear to listen? If it is change it seek, then am I really ready %26amp; willing to go the distance, hear the tough answers %26amp; act on them? Being clear as to my intention to my self, it helps to make wiser decisions on who to ask for guidance, help, or just opinions.

I need help making rules for my kids?
My husband and I have 6 kids.Four are from my previous relationship.We have a problem with our kids hitting each other.Calling each other names,teasing.They are also disrespectfull.We have rules about doing chores but they give us a hard time with it.Ive been going to parenting classes for 2 weeks ,but im still haveing a hard time trying 2 make rules.What should we do?

You have to be on the same page as far as discipline. The two of you have to back each other up.
Be consistent in follow up. When you tell them to do their chores before they can play then stick to that, or you make a liar out of yourself.
The main thing is that they know that what you say is what you mean.
Reply:You need to be harsh and what you say goes. Discipline them, and go easier on them over time. Time outs, no snacks, taking away privilages are some ways to do this.
Reply:sit down...make up your own rules...you and your husband need to work together..that is all I can say.
Reply:Take all their stuff away. Empty their rooms to just beds and dressers. When they behave, they get stuff back.
I actually heard Dr. Phil advise this technique. You could research it some more at drphil.com in the parenting section.

Let them know that U are their parents and until they are 18 or have been emancipated your rules apply. If they refuse 2 follow the rules U have laid down come up with some appropriate punitive measures!

With my kids, who are now 19 and 22, it was all about reward system for chores. We used a chart so they could see it and stickers, after so many stickers ( they got them for doing chores) they got to do something like go to the zoo, stay up late, etc.
As far as hitting and teasing: teasing will always happen, it will get better, make sure it is only teasing and not verbal abuse. Tell them hitting is absolutley UNACCEPTABLE! It will result in consequences like priveleges taken away and loss of rewards. Again, use charts or pictures, kids react much better to things they can see! Like use smiley or sad faces depending on their behavior and actions. They will work hard to keep the smiley faces showing and not sad.
Also, depending on age of kids, there are a lot of good DVDs at the library that teach these things in a fun way that kids can understand. Look for winnie the pooh and friends, also the Berenstein bears books teach good things like this.
More tips and help can be gotten from pediatricians and school counselors.

Can you help me install the sims mega deluxe in the correct order?
a few years ago i purchased the sims mega deluxe which consists of :
the sims deluxe edition CD 1,
the sims deluxe edition CD 2,
the sims hot date,
the sims house party,
the sims double deluxe bonus cd
we recently had to restore our computer, and obviously i don't have the sims mega deluxe on here anymore. i have the 3 serial numbers i need for installation which is on the back of the CD case, but i can't find the piece of paper on installing them in the correct order. can anyone help me? thanks in advance =]

So is a 1: 1 ratio of Chlorine reacting with Hydrogen.
Mr of Cl2 = 2 x 35.5 = 71
Mr of H2 = 2 x 1 = 2
Moles of Cl2 = mass/Mr
= 12.1 g / 71
= 0.1704 moles
Mass of hydrogen = moles x Mr
= 0.1704 moles x 2
= 0.3408 moles
0.34 moles would do for 2d.p answer

molar mass of chlorine=35.5+35.5=71g/mol (since chlorine is a di atom)
number of moles=mass/molar mass
number of moles of chlorine=12.1/71
number of moles of chlorine=0.17mol
from mole ratio in the balanced equation
number of moles of chlorine: number of moles of hydrogen
= 1:1(from the balanced equation)
therefore 0.17 mol of Chlorine reacted with 0.17 mol of Hydrogen
0.17 mols of hydrogen are needed to react with 12.1g of chlorine gas
If u want to know da mass of Hydrogen thereafter, simply multiply its moles by the molar mass i.e
mass=molesxmolar mass
mass=0.17x2
mass=0.34g
but you asked for only moles so i hope i've done my best!!!

This is a composition reaction where Chlorine and Hydrogen combine to produce Hydrogen Chloride gas, so we need to start with the equation. Noting that both Chlorine and Hydrogen are diatomic, we arrive with the following formula:
Cl2 + H2 =====%26gt; 2HCl
That is, 1 mole of Chlorine gas combining with 1 mole of Hydrogen gas will yield 2 moles of Hydrogen Chlorine gas. (Coefficients represent mole amounts).
The question gives us the amount of chlorine gas in grams, and asks for the number of moles of hydrogen... so this sets up our stoichiometry problem:
12.1g Cl2 x (1 mol Cl2 / 35.45g Cl2) x (1 mol H2 / 1 mol Cl2)
by using the factor-label method and using the mole ratio of 1:1, we arrive at .34 mol H2
