I've tried mydol, tylenol, aleve, advil everything you can think of and still nothing. I've even tried the heating pads so I don't know what to do. If you have the answer to my problem please tell me.
Can someone help me I have really bad menstrual cramps can someone suggest what can I do to aliviate the pain.
If you have a health/vitamin store near you that sells Nature's Sunshine (NS) products, NS makes something called Menstral Reg. Use as directed on the bottle, but for times like you are experiencing now, you can take like 4 of them and then in 1-2 hours take 2-4 until you feel relief.
Reply:Well if you go to the doctor, most likely they will just give you a stronger version of Naproxen Sodium (AKA Aleve)...so maybe you should try to get one some kind of birth control pill which would most likely make your period a lot better. You could also try a couple of techniques, like lay on your back and bring your knees up to you chest and then move then around in circles (it's like a uterine massage), or get on the floor on all fours (like a dog) which drops your uterus and causes it to relax. Your best bet is to go to the Doc though because you could have PMDD, or endometriosis if your cramps are that bad.
I just checked one of my books and you can take up to 550 mg of Aleve at once. I don't recommend taking any other pain relievers because most of them are pretty hard on your liver and stomach.
Reply:my grandma told me to take flax seed for menstrual cramps I use to keep some in my fridge and eat some when i hurt or before, they are small so you can swallow them if you don't want to chew.
Reply:Try peppermint or ginger tea. You can also buy the ginger root at your local food store in the produce section. Cut it up and boil it and drink it while it's hot.
Reply:I used to get really bad cramps and my doctor told me I could take up to four 200 mg. advils. That was the only thing that helped. Up your dosage.
Reply:If you've tried all that and none of it has worked I would try sex.
Reply:Birth Control
Reply:use ibuproven if that doesnt work see the doctor.
Reply:there is massage techniques that will relive your crams you can do yourself... check online..
