Strength training really help with weight loss?
I do a lot of cardio, out my weight loss stop a while ago. Do you think adding weights or strength training of some sorts will boost weight loss? I switch up my cardio alot, so I don't think my body is just used to my cardio routine.
Strength training really help with weight loss?
if the strength training helps create or build muscles, it will help you loose weight - because more muscle burns more calories.
Reply:Yes, strength training will help you to lose weight. Muscle burns 8 times more calories than fat.
Reply:Weight training can also be a very good cardio workout. If you use low weights with high reps (15 - 20 per set) and move fast with little rest in between sets you will see this.

I want to shave my husband's head and need help?
I think it will be totally HOT; he's a bit thin anyway. He has agreed to do it on the condition that I shave it for him after he has it done the first time. Any advice on what kind of razor to use? Also, should I buy one of those hot lather machines that I have seen at Target? He will be stopping at the barbers Monday after work and I guess I could meet him there and watch the lady do it, but could still use some tips from other women who shave their men! Thanks.
I want to shave my husband's head and need help?
you dont need anything special. i use a beard and mustache trimmer, or you could just use a hair cutting trimmer, then when you get it down close, take a safety razor and go all over his head, any one will work, i use a slim twin throw-away. it works really good, then i wash my head and put after shave on my head, to get the irritation out. good luck with the shaving, ill know he will like it, i do.
Reply:I use a Gillette Mach 3 razor and ordinary shaving cream. You don't need anything special.
Shaving always works better immediately after a shower.
Reply:I used an electric shave with a close blade option and cover. You want to be careful not to cut him. Watching the barber should help as well. Good luck
Reply:I shave my dad's hair quite often.
All I use on it is a plain and simple electric razor.
It works just as well as anything else.

My child got into my make up and stained my bathroom sink counter...HELP!?
ok, what can i use to remove blush stain from my white bathroom counter? i do not own make up remover, and was thinking something like baking soda and vinegar mix. Didn't tr it yet because i don't want to ruin it, and all you knowledgable folks on yahoo can help me out! Thanks!
My child got into my make up and stained my bathroom sink counter...HELP!?
i think baking soda and vinegar is a safe bet to try
Reply:Try dish washer or toothpaste, scrub it out with a mesh scrub....
Reply:Try the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.
Reply:i sometimes get makeup on my sink and immediately i use those wirey pads with soap (that are tough to the touch) and they always work for me.
Reply:comet or some abrasive clenser maybe even just some bleach to sit on it a few minutes should work.
Reply:Since your countertop is already white, just use bleach.
Reply:Use bleach, bleach cleans everything especially white counter tops
Reply:bleach
Reply:A better mix would be hydrogen peroxide and baking soda, mixed into a thick paste then rubbed on the spot. Lay a hot cloth over it and let it soak for a few minutes-it should "melt" the makeup and come right off. Salt sprinkled on half of a lemon should work for any leftover spotting. Good luck! If that stuff stains you counter, just think what its doing to your skin! I use beetroot powder instead to avoid the chemicals. (and stains)!
Reply:If it's white you can use some bleach and water.... That should remove any staining.. Rinse and possibly repeat.. Or try SOFT SCRUB w/ bleach that should work as well...
Good luck...
*I have to hide my make-up bag too!
Reply:I have successfully used baking soda to remove a lot of stains, including rust. Go for it!
Reply:I would use oxyclean. It gets stains off of anything! I've used it for stains on hard and soft surfaces-it even got red permanent hair dye off of my off white sofa! Just mix it real strong like 1 scoop to 4oz of water. Good luck!

What does Jane Austen want the reader to think about Mr Collins and Charlotte? ENGLISH LIT HELP ANYONE?

What does Jane Austen want the reader to think about Mr Collins and Charlotte? ENGLISH LIT HELP ANYONE?
|I don't have your book so I will basically tell you what I think since I have read the book and own all the movies :-)
Basically Lizzie was upset with Charlotte for accepting Mr Collins marriage proposal because she didn't know all his 'defects' but Charlotte wasn't so prejudice as Lizzie. Charlotte was willing to take the proposal of a man that had a good position in society and a permanent job that would provide for her, love didn't have to be involved.
Charlotte felt this might be her only proposal since she wasn't pretty(like Jane) or talented(like Lizzie) so it was better to accept than to remain an old maid.
Nothing wrong with marrying someone that will provide for you when you have no ambitions of your own and the man is good and respectful to you.

Mr. William Collins
Mr. William Collins is Mr. Bennet's nephew and a clergyman. Because Mr. Bennet has no sons, Collins is in line to inherit Mr. Bennet's estate. Austen describes him as "not a sensible man, and the deficiency of nature had been but little assisted by education or society." Mr. Bennet enjoys Collins's visit to his home because he appreciates Collins's naive stupidity, but Elizabeth resents his attentions and rejects his marriage proposal. She is very distressed when her friend Charlotte Lucas decides to marry Mr. Collins out of interest in his estate rather than his personality.
William Collins
Since Mr. Bennet has no sons, his 25-year-old nephew Mr. Collins is, to everyone's chagrin, the heir of his estate. He is also, in Lizzy's words, "a conceited, pompous, narrow-minded, silly man." Mr. Collins owes his current position as a parson to the patronage of Darcy's aunt, Lady Catherine De Bourgh. He is awed by her nobility and talks about her, and the magnificence of her estate, almost constantly, adding shameless pandering to his habitual faults of long-windedness and pomposity.
Charlotte Lucas
Charlotte Lucas is Elizabeth Bennet's best friend. She distresses Elizabeth by deciding to marry William Collins, Mr. Bennet's nephew, out of interest in his estate. Up until this point Elizabeth had respected Charlotte's sensibility, but her decision to marry Mr. Collins lost her much of Elizabeth's respect.
Charlotte Lucas: Kind, plain, and practical, Charlotte is Lizzy's best friend -- until she shows the bad judgment of marrying Mr. Collins. At 27, however, Charlotte has few alternatives that will guarantee her as much security.
In some characters, Austen depicts pride overtly. Lady Charlotte de Bourgh is motivated by pride in her family's status to try to break up a potential match between Elizabeth and Darcy.
Elizabeth's friend Charlotte Lucas decides to marry William Collins, the heir to Mr. Bennet's estate, out of a simple desire to make his estate her own. Elizabeth strongly objects to such a union; it offends her sense of pride for someone to enter into a loveless marriage for purely material purposes.
Austen is obviously unsympathetic to this view of marriage. Charlotte's decision to marry Mr. Collins damages her friendship with Lizzy, who repeatedly characterizes her motives as "mercenary," and when Lizzy visits the newlyweds at the Hunsford parsonage, she quickly deduces that Charlotte has arranged household affairs such that she spends as little time with her husband as possible.

a little bit of water got into my tmobile wing and now it just shows me a white blank screen but it still works i can still make phone calls on it i really love this phone....is there a way to fix it? and are there stores out there that still repairs phone...somewhere in buffalo or ny?
Help a little bit of water got into my tmobile wing it works but shows a blank screen can it be fixed?
water damage is very tricky on cell phones. how long ago did this happen ?
my 4yr old once sent my Motorola flip phone for a swim in the toilet. my wife immediately retrieved it and after 3 days of drying and down time it was pretty much OK. it had weird flare up's from time to time though.
another time my Siemens phone became damp from being left outside all night in the dew, and it zonked out completely.
there are places that still repair cell phones. look in the yellow pages or inquire at a few cellular phone stores. (stores, not kiosks or dealers that only sell one brand of phone/service)...good luck.
Reply:yes you can take it to a phone shop or you can let it sit without using it for about 2 to 3 days.
