Please help me with this electricity problem?

A 0.9 mile long copper wire that has a


resistance of 17 ohm is cut in half.


What is the resistance of one of the halves?

What will be the new resistance if the two


halves are doubled over and used as one wire?


Answer in units of ohm.

Please help me with this electricity problem?
17/2=8.5

(17^2/4)/(17)=4.25





(note that is 8.5/2)
