my friend and i are doing something. We want to know if you buy regular eggs from a grocery store, and put them in an incubator, would they hatch? Plus my friend and i dont want to buy an incubator so we were wondering if we put it under three or so lamps, and heated towels, and we turned it, would it then hatch? please answer!
Hey I dont care who you are but i need your help and opinions?
No they aren't fertilized and and aside from that the eggs have been refrigerated for who knows how long,if a fertilized egg was to make it past inspection the refrigeration process would stop any change of hatching.
Reply:no they will not.
the eggs at a grocery store are not fertilized.so nothing will happen.
and imagine even if they werre they would be dead bc of the cold.the mom has to sit and keep them warm.
s the freezing cold of the refridgerator would kill them.
go to a local farm near you and ask to buy a fertilized egg.
it might hatch with the lamps and towl.
MIGHT
i would say just go get a incubator to be safe.
good luck!!!
Reply:Simple answer to this is no... they won't hatch as they have cooled to far down to be saved.
If you want chickens to hatch go to a farm and get fresh and then keep them somwhere warm like an airing cupboard which is pretty warm or under lights (red light is best) Infrared)) You can buy these bulbs or heat lamps.
but are you ready to take cae of baby chickens? Do you know what they eat.... how to nurse them... where will they live.. what will you do when they grow?....
And btw... the section you put this under is fish?

Reply:sorry to tell you but the eggs you buy in a store have not been fertilised by a cockrell, they also are far past the period where they can be fertilised, the eggs you get in a store are up to 50 days old. if you have a nearby farm, maybe ask them for a fresh one that has been fertilised. you never know!
Reply:No. Eggs that are harvested for consumption are not fertalized, so incubating them would not produce hatchlings. That is why, if you break open an egg and see a red spot in it, throw it out, its an egg that got fertalized. Very, Very Very rare in the US for this to happen.
Reply:no, they wouldnt. thats impossible. why? becuz, chicken eggs are taken from their mother right after they are born, so they automatically die, becuz they need warmth after they are born, but intstead, they are thrown into a fridge. its impossible. sorry :D
Reply:No, hah, I tried putting an egg I got from the grocery store in my drawer when I was 7... it was horrible. I thought it would hatch.
But seriously, it wont, it's not fertalized or cared for properly.
Reply:No, they are not fertilized. Sorry!
If you just want a chicken... you can actually buy chickens though if you know where to look...
And by the way... what do chicken eggs have to do with fish? lol.
Reply:No, most eggs in the grocery store are not fertilized. I think you can get fertiized eggs at Trader Joe's but more than likely they will not hatch because the embryo is cold and dead.
Reply:no. simply because:
a) they arent fertilized and
b) even if they WERE fertilized in the begining, the refrigeration would kill any chance the egg had of hatching within and hour.
Reply:No because they dont have the capability of hatching. they are meant for eating. you can find the hatchable in other places. IDK where though
Good luck ;-)
Reply:the eggs you get from the store ...well the chicken never was able to develope .thats why when u crack an egg its all gooey. So no there not going to hatch no matter what.
Reply:haha everyone said no even though they are right don't get your spirit down there is lots ways to get fertilized eggs just Google it lol Google has everything
Reply:nope, dont hink so, but you could go to a farm on the outskirts of your town and see if they would be willing to give or sell you a chicken egg... good luck!
Reply:No silly the eggs you get at the store are not fertalized.
Reply:no they won't hatch you idiot.....don't even try you'll end up getting burned
Reply:No the eggs you buy from the store wont hatch..LOL
Reply:No because they have to be fertalized!
Reply:Of course not!
They don't sell fertilized eggs at the grocery store! Gosh!
Reply:Hey, I like the phrasing of your question, and no, it won't work
Reply:Nope.
Reply:no duh. the chicks have frozen and are long gone.
Reply:no they would not hatch eggs from the store are not fertilized.the hen never comes in contact with a rooster! yes your idea for an incubator will work...
Reply:to an experiment on idiots..
