Many people live as if there’s no tomorrow and forget that the future will be the result of today’s choices. People tend to underestimate the importance of their own actions and the power of small groups. They think that those actions are not effective, because the majority do exactly the opposite. Although I appreciate the work done by some committed non-governmental organizations, I believe that’s not necessary to become a member of a non-profit organization to help the planet. In despite of the large-scale actions that governments, companies, and other institutions are attempting to do about the global issues, there are many small ways people can contribute. They don't need to make large efforts nor huge behavioral changes. There are very creative people who can elaborate projects. Other people have incredible manual skills. Some people can share their vast knowledge with others. Would you spend a little time to contribute to environmental issues using your natural abilities? How?
Are you willing to use your natural talents and skills to help preserve the planet?
i know this sounds bad,but i worry more about the kids than the enviroment. im trying to find a place to volunteer to help out kids. if u know of one let me know(missouri) umm but to help the enviroment i dont litter i pick up trash that sort of thing, its the lil things that count to me.i also plant alot of flowers,i want to plant a tree some where but havent decided where
Reply:Yes I would! I want to open a SUV plant. I want to help people drive bigger, less efficient cars!
Reply:Yes, i think we all are able to help the enviroment, but its not enough to use our natural skills and talents. we have to expand beyond our comfort zone to find ways to help.
I personally try not to waste materials, but im just a preteen!
Reply:I do some to help preserve the environment. I hang out clothes to dry vs. using a clothes dryer. I'm going to start growing fruits and vegetables. I'm an amateur seamstress. I always turn absolutely all electricity off when I'm not home. Even when I am home, I'm modest about using electricity.
