Factor the polynomial (3x^5)+(11x^4)+(20x^3)+(40x^2)+32x-16=0
and write the function as a product of linear and irreducible quadratic factors with real coefficients.
I have no clue how to do this, I have tired and failed several times.
Could you help me?
Could anyone help with this Polynomial Factoring?
(x + 2)^2 (3x - 1) (x^2 + 4)
Reply:x=-2 satisfies the equation, so (x+2) is a factor. This was found by trial and error. You could also find this if you graph the equation.
Divide the ploynominal by (x+2)
]]]]]]]3x^4+5x^3+10x^2+20x-8

x+2)3x^5+11x^4+20x^3+40x^2+32x-16

The given polynomial, therefore , can be factored as
(x+2)(3x^4+5x^3+10x^2+20x-8)
x = 0.67242731 is a root of the equation
3x^4+5x^3+10x^2+20x-8, but this doesn't help factor it with integer coefficients.
Reply:airforcesigop did it right. I'd like to know HOW he got it. I couldn't!

Can i put an added lense onto the Fujifilm S5700? its a budget camera but i want it to be a bridge camera help
please can you help me, it has the screw lines in the inside of the lense it has, but can i put another one onto it? please help me photograpers :P
Can i put an added lense onto the Fujifilm S5700? its a budget camera but i want it to be a bridge camera help
Actually all "SLR-like" digital cameras are called "bridge" cameras. Since yours has lens threads (used for mounting protective UV filters) there is a possibility that Fujifilm makes add-on lenses for your camera, but at some point your total investment in your "bridge" will meet or exceed the cost of buying an entry level DSLR with lens.
Considering the difference in sensor sizes (your S7500 has a sensor that is 5.27 x 3.96 mm vs the sensor size found on a true DSLR of 23.6 x 15.8 mm), you may want to save your money and buy an entry level DSLR in a year or two.
Reply:Fujifilm S5700 is a fixed lens camera and does not support interchangeable lenses, hence you cannot use any other lenses on this camera.
Any attempt on this can make your camera unusable,
for your info there are only few old lenses with t mount which comes with Thread mount.

Are you willing to use your natural talents and skills to help preserve the planet?
Many people live as if there’s no tomorrow and forget that the future will be the result of today’s choices. People tend to underestimate the importance of their own actions and the power of small groups. They think that those actions are not effective, because the majority do exactly the opposite. Although I appreciate the work done by some committed non-governmental organizations, I believe that’s not necessary to become a member of a non-profit organization to help the planet. In despite of the large-scale actions that governments, companies, and other institutions are attempting to do about the global issues, there are many small ways people can contribute. They don't need to make large efforts nor huge behavioral changes. There are very creative people who can elaborate projects. Other people have incredible manual skills. Some people can share their vast knowledge with others. Would you spend a little time to contribute to environmental issues using your natural abilities? How?

There are soooooo many areas to choose from and i guess it would be incredibly frustrating when large scale destruction occurs and peoples unwilling attitudes to do anything to help themselves, others and the planet!
I would love to think i was capable of putting my heart into something to help mend this mess we have gotten ourselves into and achieving positive results bu fact is i wouldn't know how.
I think educating people and creating greater awareness could be the place to start, and building up a band of people willing to support the cause.

i know this sounds bad,but i worry more about the kids than the enviroment. im trying to find a place to volunteer to help out kids. if u know of one let me know(missouri) umm but to help the enviroment i dont litter i pick up trash that sort of thing, its the lil things that count to me.i also plant alot of flowers,i want to plant a tree some where but havent decided where

Will someone PLEASE help me with this geometry problem?
This is it:
Explain how to find the equation of a line perpendicular to a given line through a point not on the given line.
You don't know any points or the slope. %26amp; you can't make one up.
Will someone PLEASE help me with this geometry problem?
1. The slope of the line you are trying to find will be the negative inverse of the line it is perpendicular to.
2. Then use the points you are given (even though they are not on the line) and the point slope form of a line to write the equation of the line. The point slope form is y - y0 = m(x - x0) where (x0, y0) is a point on the line.
Example:
A line perpendicular to y = 2x-4 that goes through (3,1).
The lines slope will be -1/2 (the negative inverse of 2)
The equation will be y - 1 = -1/2(x - 3)
This is based on using the, slope, the point (3,1) and the point-slope form of the equation.
Hope this helps!
Reply:You have the equation of one line
y = mx + b
Any line that is perpendicular to it will have slope = -1/m.
Suppose you want the perpendicular to pass through a point (x₁,y₁). Then the equation for the perpendicular is
y-y₁ = (-1/m)(x-x₁)
which can be rearranged to
y = (-1/m)x + (x₁/m + y₁)
Reply:Is bascially asking you to write a formula on how to solve this question without using solid data.
That means you have to use variables only.
Lets say, I want to find the answer to C but you do not have any other numbers to work with. Explain how you can solve C.
Well...you can say....
A + B = C
The formula you derived has to be correct at all times.
Another example is Quadratic Equation ( Don't know if you have learned that already ). But it is a formula created out of no data.
In your case, you know that for any slope to exist, you need 2 points in space.
[ x1, y1 ] [ x2, y2 ].....
so to find the midpoint is [ x2 - x1, y2 - y1 ] / 2
See how I am doing this?
I am getting solution out of nothing.
Reply:If you are given a line, solve for y to find its slope and then use the negative reciprocal of that slope for a perperdicular line. After use either y = mx+b or point slope formula to write the new equation.
Reply:1) Find slope using negative reciprocal of given line's slope
2) Use formula y-y0= m(x-x0) where m= slope, x0= given x-coord, y0= given y-coord
Reply:A perpendicular line is an intersecting line that makes a 90 degree angle(right angle) A plus sign is an example of perpendicular lines. So I would make a 90 degree angle with the other line given to you.

Help i have a Peugeot 206 it wont start its had 1diagnostic didn't show anything Peugeot say its needs deep
Peugeot206 haveing Deep diagnostic It's all ready had one diagnostic has they can't find anything wrong. It wont go? door's don't lock engine doesent turn over
Help i have a Peugeot 206 it wont start its had 1diagnostic didn't show anything Peugeot say its needs deep
In two years of answering questions about Peugeot here, I have never ever heard of "Deep Diagnostic". Do They think you have "deep pockets?"
I suggest you stay away from Peugeot garages and phone some other garages to ask if they can diagnose Peugeot electrical problems. Ask for a print out of the error codes from your first diagnostic....If they even did it!
The 206's made at the Ryton Plant, before its final closure, are known for their problems with the ECU. Electronic Contol Unit. Are you from the UK? I can give internet references for this if you request it.
Maybe it's time for just a new ECU and have everything working again??
Good luck to you.

HELP! My son came home from work with COOKING OIL spills all over his khaki pants. What will remove that?
Dawn dish soap. don't put in dryer. line dry. if still there, repeat and try again. do not use anything else that may re-act with the grease
HELP! My son came home from work with COOKING OIL spills all over his khaki pants. What will remove that?
You may have some luck with dawn ultra and some very very hot water. I would put them in a stock pot and boil them for a bit, maybe with some lemon juice, then dump them into the washer on HOT with some Dawn. Not too much, though, or you'll have a soap mountain.
Don't boil soap in the pot, though...tends to keep the flavor.
Reply:I know this maybe crazy, but works fine everytime..
U can either wash the spot with petrol or kerosene. Let the spot be soaked and then u can wash it with your usual soap and stuff..
All the best.
Reply:first soak in dawn dish soap then spray shout on the areas affected
Reply:i've had great luck with GooGone for grease and oil stains! Works great! Don't machine wash afterward,. let it air dry to make sure the stain is gone first, repeat if you need to.
Reply:Fels Napatha Soap...works for a variety of things but, it is good for oil based stains. I would imagine that would mean oil itself.
Just wet the bar and rub it on the stain. Let it sit for a while and then launder as usual.
Do not dry in the dryer until you are sure the stain is gone...this will set the stain.
Reply:I think it somewhat depends on the fabric, not only the type of spill. for example my hubby had cooking oil all over a polo-type t-shirt (100% cotton). They were months old and everytime I would wash the shirt I'd forget to do the stain treatment and I finally one day remembered and removed all of them with SHOUT stain remover (in the US). I just poured a good amount on the shirt, let it soak for a few minutes, threw it in the washing machine and also put some Shout in the bleach cassette of the washer. And it was all out.
That's why I'm thinking might not work on capris, because the shirt fabric was absorbant and soaked in all that stain remover. but you can try.
it was a burgundy red shirt, so don't worry about bleach stains. Shout is good for colors.
